The meeting was called to order by President Vicki Johnson at 3:15 PM at the Family Involvement Center. All present introduced themselves.
A, Financial Reports
The September, 2014 Financial Reports were reviewed. At the end of September, 2014, the Coalition accounts had a balance of $19,436. A motion was made an seconded that the September financials be approved. The motion passed unanimously. Vicky Johnson announced that hence forth financials will be for the period ending two months prior to the date of the Coalition meeting. This will allow time to prepare materials for the financial reports.
4. Committee Reports:
Vicki Johnson reported that Pam Woodward has an interest to revising the leadership training curriculum to make it more adaptable for use outside of Maricopa County and for use at the state and RBHA levels.

5. Legislative Update
A. Letter to Tim Murphy:
There was extensive discussion regarding components of the Tim Murphy Behavioral Health reform bill pending in Congress called “Helping families in Mental Health Crisis” Vicki Johnson will prepare a draft letter to Mr.Murphy from the Coalition. She will circulate the draft to persons who were attendance at the Meeting.
B. Plan for the legislative session:
There was a brief discussion about the Arizona financial situation where $1 Billion is due to Arizona schools. Carol McDermott asked that efforts be made to make schools more responsive to identify children with behavioral health challenges with these increased funds. Diane taylor suggested that this might be accomplished with increased funding to Child Fund.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:32 PM. The next meeting will be on Tuesday December 9, 2014 at 3:00 to 4:30 pm.
